विद्युत विभाग की सख्त कार्रवाई, सघन जांच अभियान जारी

बिजली चोरी और बकायादारी पर विद्युत विभाग ने कड़ा रुख अपनाते हुए बड़े पैमाने पर कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी है। रक्सौल विद्युत आपूर्ति प्रमंडल में चलाए जा रहे सघन जांच अभियान के तहत फरवरी में अब तक 190 उपभोक्ताओं पर बिजली चोरी की प्राथमिकी दर्ज कराई गसी है, जबकि 866 बकायेदारों का कनेक्शन काटा गया है।
सख्त अभियान जारी
जनवरी में 154 बिजली चोरी के मामले दर्ज किए गये थे और 1,759 बकायेदारों के कनेक्शन काटे गए थे। उसी अभियान को जारी रखते हुए फरवरी में भी रक्सौल, आदापुर, छौड़ादानो सहित अन्य क्षेत्रों में व्यापक कार्रवाई की गयी। रक्सौल में 27, आदापुर में 4 और छौड़ादानो में 5 लोगों पर बिजली चोरी के मामले दर्ज किए गये हैं।
बड़े बकायेदारों पर विशेष नजर-
बिजली कंपनी ने उन उपभोक्ताओं की सूची तैयार की है जिन्होंने पिछले वित्तीय वर्ष (2023-24) में भुगतान किया था, लेकिन इस वित्तीय वर्ष (2024-25) में अब तक भुगतान नहीं किया है। ऐसे 11,167 उपभोक्ताओं से वसूली के लिए कड़ी कार्रवाई की जा रही है। वहीं, ₹5,000 से अधिक बकाया रखने वाले उपभोक्ताओं की सूची तैयार कर कर्मचारियों को सौंपी गई है।
इन क्षेत्रों में कटा कनेक्शन-
रक्सौल और घोड़ासहन अवर प्रमंडल क्षेत्र में सबसे अधिक कनेक्शन काटे गए हैं। विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में बकायेदारों के कनेक्शन काटने की स्थिति इस प्रकार है—
- रामगढ़वा – 190
- सुगौली – 108
- रक्सौल ग्रामीण – 184
- आदापुर – 103
- छौड़ादानो – 123
- वनकटवा – 59
- घोड़ासहन – 99
स्मार्ट मीटर उपभोक्ताओं के लिए चेतावनी
विद्युत कार्यपालक अभियंता अजय कुमार ने बताया कि निर्बाध विद्युत आपूर्ति के साथ उपभोक्ताओं को समय पर बिल भुगतान करने के लिए लगातार जागरूक किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने निगेटिव बैलेंस वाले स्मार्ट मीटर उपभोक्ताओं को समय पर रिचार्ज करने की सलाह दी। अगर जांच के दौरान कोई उपभोक्ता बिजली जलाते पाया गया, तो उसके खिलाफ विद्युत अधिनियम के तहत कानूनी कार्रवाई होगी।
बिजली कंपनी द्वारा नोटिस वितरण, डोर-टू-डोर मीटर जांच और सख्त वसूली अभियान चलाया जा रहा है ताकि सभी उपभोक्ता समय पर बिल भुगतान करें और बिजली आपूर्ति सुचारू बनी रहे।

Electricity Theft and Defaulters Won’t Be Spared: 190 FIRs, 866 Connections Cut
Strict Action by Power Department, Intensive Investigation Underway

The electricity department has launched a strict crackdown on power theft and bill defaulters. As part of an intensive inspection campaign in the Raxaul electricity supply division, FIRs have been registered against 190 consumers for electricity theft in February, while 866 defaulters’ connections have been disconnected.
Strict Campaign Continues
In January, 154 cases of electricity theft were registered, and 1,759 defaulters’ connections were cut. Continuing the same operation in February, major actions were taken in Raxaul, Adapur, Chauradano, and nearby areas. FIRs were filed against 27 consumers in Raxaul, 4 in Adapur, and 5 in Chauradano for electricity theft.
Special Focus on Major Defaulters
The power company has identified consumers who made payments in the previous financial year (2023-24) but have not paid their bills in 2024-25. Strict recovery action is being taken against 11,167 such consumers. A separate list has been prepared for consumers who owe more than ₹5,000, and employees have been assigned to recover the dues.

The highest number of disconnections were reported in the Raxaul and Ghodasahan subdivisions. Here’s the breakdown of disconnections:

- Adapur – 103

Warning for Smart Meter Consumers
Executive Engineer Ajay Kumar stated that while ensuring uninterrupted power supply, consumers are also being urged to pay their bills on time. He warned smart meter users with negative balances to recharge their accounts promptly. If any consumer is found using electricity despite a negative balance, strict legal action will be taken under the Electricity Act.
The power company is continuously conducting door-to-door meter inspections, issuing notices, and enforcing strict recovery measures to ensure that all consumers pay their bills on time and uninterrupted electricity supply continues.
