पूर्वी चम्पारण में प्रशासन की सख़्ती जारी

पूर्वी चम्पारण में अवैध वसूली के विरुद्ध प्रशासन का सख़्त अभियान जारी है। गुरुवार की देर शाम नगर पंचायत क्षेत्र के हरदिया चौक से पुलिस ने नगर पंचायत के नाम पर अवैध वसूली कर रहे तीन व्यक्तियों को गिरफ़्तार किया।
मोतिहारी में कुँवारी देवी के पास पहले ही हुई थी एक गिरफ़्तारी
इससे पूर्व मुफस्सिल थाना क्षेत्र के कुँवारी देवी चौक के पास से भी एक व्यक्ति को अवैध वसूली करते हुए गिरफ़्तार किया गया था। उसके पास से ₹37,000 नकद बरामद हुए थे। इस मामले में मेयर प्रतिनिधि सहित चार लोगों पर प्राथमिकी दर्ज की गई थी।
अरेराज में वायरल वीडियो के आधार पर हुई कार्रवाई
अरेराज क्षेत्र में अवैध वसूली करते हुए एक वीडियो मोतिहारी एसपी स्वर्ण प्रभात को मिला था। इसके आधार पर उन्होंने अरेराज सर्किल इंस्पेक्टर पूर्णकाम समर्थ को कार्रवाई का निर्देश दिया। इंस्पेक्टर के नेतृत्व में थानाध्यक्ष विभा कुमारी ने पुलिस बल के साथ छापेमारी की।
नशे में धुत तीन वसूलीकर्ता गिरफ़्तार, नगद और रसीद बरामद
छापेमारी के दौरान पुलिस ने अवैध वसूली कर रहे तीन व्यक्तियों को नशे की हालत में गिरफ़्तार किया। उनके पास से लगभग ₹10,000 नकद और कई रसीदें बरामद की गईं। तीनों को मेडिकल जांच के लिए भेजा गया है।
गिरफ़्तार लोगों की पहचान इस प्रकार हुई है:
- रामचंद्र कुमार शर्मा (निवासी शर्मा टोला, अरेराज नगर पंचायत)
- रत्नेश शर्मा (निवासी शर्मा टोला, अरेराज)
- गोपी कुमार (निवासी चंडीस्थान, गोविंदगंज थाना क्षेत्र)
नगर पंचायत के नाम पर पहले से चल रहा था अवैध वसूली का खेल
सूत्रों के अनुसार, नगर पंचायत के नाम पर लंबे समय से अवैध वसूली का खेल चल रहा था। वायरल वीडियो के आधार पर एसपी के निर्देश पर यह कार्रवाई की गई।
एसपी ने दी कड़ी चेतावनी, दलालों और सिंडिकेट पर नजर
मोतिहारी में कुँवारी देवी चौक पर हुई गिरफ़्तारी के बाद एसपी ने कहा कि नगर निगम के नाम पर अवैध धंधों में संलिप्त ब्रोकर व दलालों की सूची तैयार की जा रही है। कई लोगों ने अवैध संपत्ति अर्जित की है।
यदि इनमें से किसी की संलिप्तता थाना कर्मियों के साथ पाई जाती है तो संबंधित पुलिसकर्मियों पर भी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। एसपी ने यह भी कहा कि कुछ वार्ड पार्षदों द्वारा सिंडिकेट बनाकर अवैध वसूली की जाती है, उन्हें भी चिन्हित किया जा रहा है।
वायरल ऑडियो के बाद बनी छापेमारी टीम
एसपी ने बताया कि इंटरनेट मीडिया पर एक ऑडियो वायरल हो रहा था, जिसमें नगर निगम के नाम पर कुँवारी देवी चौक के पास अवैध वसूली की बात सामने आई थी। इस सूचना पर विशेष छापेमारी टीम का गठन कर कार्रवाई की गई।

The district administration of East Champaran is continuing its strict campaign against illegal money collection. On Thursday evening, police arrested three individuals from Hardiya Chowk under the Nagar Panchayat area for extorting money in the name of the Nagar Panchayat.
Arrest Made Earlier Near Kuwari Devi in Motihari
Earlier, one person was arrested from near Kuwari Devi under the Muffasil Police Station area for illegal collection. Authorities recovered Rs. 37,000 in cash from him. A case was filed against four people, including the representative of the Mayor.
Viral Video Leads to Action in Areraj
A video showing illegal extortion activities in Areraj was received by Motihari SP Swarn Prabhat. Based on this, he instructed Areraj Circle Inspector Purnakam Samarth to take action. Under his leadership, SHO Vibha Kumari conducted a raid with the police team.
Three Arrested in Areraj, Cash and Receipts Seized
During the operation, three individuals involved in illegal money collection were caught red-handed, allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Police seized approximately Rs. 10,000 in cash and multiple receipts from them.
The arrested have been sent for medical examination. They have been identified as:
- Ramchandra Kumar Sharma (resident of Sharma Tola, Areraj Nagar Panchayat)
- Ratnesh Sharma (resident of Sharma Tola)
- Gopi Kumar (resident of Chandisthan, Govindganj Police Station area)
Illegal Collection Under Nagar Panchayat’s Name an Ongoing Issue
Sources reveal that illegal collection in the name of Nagar Panchayat has been ongoing. Based on the viral video, action was initiated under SP’s direct supervision.
SP Monitoring the Situation Closely
Regarding the earlier arrest in Motihari near Kuwari Devi Chowk, the SP stated that a list is being prepared of brokers and middlemen involved in such unlawful activities under the Municipal Corporation’s name.
He further mentioned that:
- Many of these individuals have acquired illegal assets.
- Police personnel found complicit will also face action.
- Some ward councillors have formed syndicates for illegal collection; they are also being identified.
An audio clip related to extortion near Kuwari Devi Chowk had gone viral on social media, prompting the formation of a special raid team for immediate action.
