मतदान प्रक्रिया को सुगम और भीड़ कम करने की पहल-
बिहार अब भारत का ऐसा पहला राज्य बन गया है जहाँ के सभी मतदान केंद्रों पर मतदाताओं की संख्या 1200 से कम है।
चुनाव आयोग ने इस महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव की घोषणा करते हुए बताया कि मतदान केंद्रों पर लगने वाली लंबी कतारों को खत्म करने के उद्देश्य से यह कदम उठाया गया है।
12,817 नए मतदान केंद्र बनाए गए-
आयोग के बयान के अनुसार, बिहार में कुल 12,817 नए मतदान केंद्र बनाए गए हैं। पहले, प्रति मतदान केंद्र मतदाताओं की अधिकतम सीमा 1500 थी, जिसे ‘बिहार विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण आदेश’ के तहत संशोधित कर 1200 कर दिया गया है।
इस संशोधन के बाद, बिहार में मतदान केंद्रों की कुल संख्या 77,895 से बढ़कर 90,712 हो गई है।
मतदाता सूची पुनरीक्षण का कार्य जारी-
चुनाव आयोग ने यह भी बताया कि ‘विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण’ अभियान के तहत बिहार में अब तक 7 करोड़ 16 लाख से अधिक गणना फॉर्म जमा किए जा चुके हैं। यह दर्शाता है कि राज्य में मतदाता सूची को अपडेट करने का काम बड़े पैमाने पर चल रहा है।
आम जनता भी दे सकेगी आपत्ति-
आयोग ने जानकारी दी कि अगले महीने की पहली तारीख से आम जनता भी मसौदा मतदाता सूची में किसी भी प्रकार के जोड़, विलोपन या सुधार के लिए अपनी आपत्ति दर्ज करा सकेगी। यह कदम मतदाता सूची की पारदर्शिता और सटीकता सुनिश्चित करने में मदद करेगा।

Patna | Bihar has become the first state in India where all polling stations now have fewer than 1,200 voters. The Election Commission announced this significant change, stating that the move aims to eliminate long queues at polling booths.
12,817 New Polling Stations Established
According to the Commission’s statement, a total of 12,817 new polling stations have been established in Bihar. Previously, the maximum limit for voters per polling station was 1,500, which has been revised to 1,200 under the ‘Bihar Special Intensive Revision Order’. With these additions, the total number of polling stations in Bihar has increased from 77,895 to 90,712.
Voter List Revision Underway
The Election Commission also reported that over 7.16 crore enumeration forms have been collected in Bihar under the ‘Special Intensive Revision’ campaign. This indicates a large-scale effort to update the state’s voter list.
Public Can File Objections Soon
The Commission further informed that from the first day of next month, any member of the public will be able to file objections regarding any additions, deletions, or corrections in the draft voter list. This step will help ensure the transparency and accuracy of the voter list.
