मंदिर में पूजा के दौरान हुआ हादसा-
रक्सौल के बैंक रोड स्थित मारवाड़ी पंचायती मंदिर में एक बुजुर्ग महिला से चेन स्नैचिंग की वारदात सामने आई है। यह पूरी घटना मंदिर में लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरे में रिकॉर्ड हो गई है।
पूजा के बहाने घुसा युवक-
सीसीटीवी फुटेज के अनुसार, मास्क लगाए एक युवक मंदिर में घुसा। उसने पहले भगवान के सामने हाथ जोड़कर प्रणाम किया, जिससे उसका व्यवहार सामान्य लगा। लेकिन अचानक उसने 80 वर्षीय गीता देवी की सोने की चेन झपट ली और तेजी से भाग गया।
चेन खींचते समय महिला गिरी, मांगी मदद-
चेन छीनते समय गीता देवी जमीन पर गिर पड़ीं और मदद के लिए चिल्लाईं। लेकिन युवक तेजी से मंदिर से बाहर निकल गया और फरार हो गया।
पहले भी मंदिर में दिख चुका था युवक-
स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि यह युवक पहले भी कई बार मंदिर में पूजा के बहाने आता रहा है। लेकिन उसकी असली पहचान किसी को नहीं पता थी।
पुलिस ने शुरू की जांच, तलाश जारी-
घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और जांच शुरू की। पीड़िता के पुत्र और कपड़ा व्यवसायी जगदीश प्रसाद अग्रवाल ने थाने में आवेदन देकर आरोपी की गिरफ्तारी की मांग की है। उन्होंने बताया कि चेन का वजन दो भर से ज्यादा था।
जल्द होगी गिरफ्तारी: पुलिस
इस संबंध में इंस्पेक्टर राजीव नंदन सिन्हा ने बताया कि
आरोपित युवक की पहचान की जा रही है और जल्द ही उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया जाएगा। फिलहाल पुलिस उसके संभावित ठिकानों पर छापेमारी कर रही है।

Snatching Incident During Prayer in Temple
A shocking case of chain snatching was caught on CCTV at the Marwari Panchayati Temple located on Bank Road, Raxaul. The victim, 80-year-old Geeta Devi, had gone to the temple for prayer when the incident took place.
Youth Entered Temple Disguised as a Devotee
According to CCTV footage, a young man wearing a mask entered the temple and initially folded his hands in front of the deity, appearing like a normal devotee. Suddenly, he grabbed Geeta Devi’s gold chain and fled the scene.
Victim Fell While Resisting, Cried for Help
During the snatching, Geeta Devi fell to the ground and shouted for help, but the youth managed to escape quickly.
Suspect Seen Earlier in Temple Premises
Local residents mentioned that the youth had been seen earlier at the temple pretending to pray, but no one could confirm his identity.
Police Begin Investigation, Search Underway
After receiving the report, the local police arrived at the temple and started an investigation. The victim’s son, Jagdish Prasad Agarwal, a cloth merchant, has submitted a written complaint demanding the arrest of the snatcher. He informed that the snatched gold chain weighed over two tolas (approx. 20 grams).
Accused Will Be Arrested Soon: Police
Inspector Rajeev Nandan Sinha stated that the suspect is being identified based on the CCTV footage and will be arrested soon. The police are actively searching for him.
