मोतिहारी में क्राइम ब्रांच का झांसा देकर महिला से ठगी
मोतिहारी, बिहार: मोतिहारी में इन दिनों ठग कार पर सवार होकर ठगी का घंधा करने लगे हैं। ताजा मामला छतौनी थाना क्षेत्र से सामने आया है, जहाँ बदमाशों ने खुद को क्राइम ब्रांच का अधिकारी बताकर एक महिला से सोने की चेन और अंगूठी छीन ली।
मोतिहारी के छतौनी थाना क्षेत्र में बदमाशों ने एक महिला को ठगी का शिकार बनाया और उसके सोने की चेन व अंगूठी पर हाथ साफ कर दिया। पीड़ित महिला बड़ा बरियारपुर वार्ड संख्या-48 निवासी ध्रुव कुमार पांडेय की पत्नी श्यामलावती देवी ने छतौनी थाने में आवेदन देकर प्राथमिकी दर्ज करायी है।
श्यामलावती देवी ने पुलिस को बताया कि वह कुड़वा देवी मंदिर से पूजा करके अपने घर लौट रही थीं। इसी दौरान एक कार से दो बदमाश उतरे। उन्होंने खुद को क्राइम ब्रांच का अधिकारी बताया और महिला से कहा कि गहने पहनकर घूमना सुरक्षित नहीं है, बदमाश चाकू दिखाकर गहने छीन सकते हैं।
महिला के अनुसार, कुल तीन बदमाश थे। उनमें से एक बदमाश ने उसकी सोने की चेन और अंगूठी ले ली। बदमाश ने महिला को यह भी भरोसा दिलाया कि उसके गहने बाद में वापस मिल जाएंगे। बाद में बदमाशों ने उसे कागज में लपेटकर कुछ दिया। जब महिला घर पहुंची और उसने कागज खोलकर देखा, तो उसमें नकली चेन और अंगूठी थी।
छतौनी थानाध्यक्ष अमरजीत कुमार ने बताया कि इस मामले में प्राथमिकी दर्ज कर ली गई है और आगे की छानबीन की जा रही है।

Motihari, Bihar: The menace of car-borne robbers is on the rise in Motihari. The latest incident comes from the Chhatauni police station area, where criminals, posing as Crime Branch officers, snatched a gold chain and ring from a woman.
According to information received regarding the incident, Shyamlati Devi, a resident of Bara Bariarpur Ward No.-48, was returning home after praying at the Kurwa Devi Temple. Suddenly, some criminals got out of a car. They stopped Shyamlati Devi and identified themselves as Crime Branch officers. The criminals told the woman that it was not safe to wear jewelry while walking around, as robbers could snatch them at knifepoint.
Tricking the woman, one of the criminals took her gold chain and ring. They also assured the woman that her jewelry would be returned later. The cunning robbers gave the woman something wrapped in paper and fled the scene. When Shyamlati Devi reached home and opened the paper, she found a fake chain and ring inside.
The victim has filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Chhatauni police station regarding this matter. Station House Officer Amarjeet Kumar stated that the case is being investigated seriously, and efforts are underway to apprehend the criminals. The police have appealed to the public to be vigilant against such robbers and not fall prey to any unknown person, especially when they try to demand jewelry or money by claiming to be government officials.
