सड़क किनारे ढाबों पर तेल चोरी का खूनी खेल
मोतिहारी, पूर्वी चंपारण: बिहार के पूर्वी चंपारण जिले में एक बार फिर अपराधियों ने अपना खौफ दिखाया है।कदम चौक, कोटवा में स्थित न्यू चंडीगढ़ ढाबा के पास एक ऐसी घटना हुई है, जिसने सबको चौंका दिया है। यहाँ ‘तेल कटवा’ गिरोह के चोरों ने डीजल चोरी करने से रोकने पर एक होटल चलाने वाले के पिता को बेरहमी से मार डाला। इस भयानक घटना से पूरे इलाके में डर और सनसनी फैल गयी है।
क्या हुआ था उस काली रात में?
मंगलवार देर रात, न्यू चंडीगढ़ ढाबा चलाने वाले चुटु सिंह के पिता, 60 वर्षीय उपेंद्र सिंह अपने ढाबे पर सो रहे थे। रात करीब 1 बजे उन्हें कुछ आवाज सुनाई दी। उन्होंने देखा कि कुछ अनजान बदमाश एक ट्रक से डीजल चुरा रहे थे। जैसे ही उपेंद्र सिंह एक लाठी लेकर उन चोरों की ओर बढ़े, अपराधियों ने उन पर अंधाधुंध गोलियां चला दीं। एक गोली सीधे उपेंद्र सिंह के सीने में लगी, जिससे उनकी तुरंत मौत हो गई।
होटल पर होटल संचालक तथा उनके पिता व तीन कर्मी भी मौजूद थे। घटना की सूचना पर देर रात सदर 2 के पुलिस उपाधीक्षक जितेश कुमार पांडेय व थानाध्यक्ष प्रत्युष कुमार पुलिस बल के साथ घटनास्थल पर पहुंचे।
होटल में लगे सीसीटीवी के खंगाला तथा कैमरे का डिश अपने साथ ले गए हैं। बदमाशों की पहचान की जा रही है।
पुलिस की जाँच और अपराधियों की पहचान
घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही पुलिस अधीक्षक स्वर्ण प्रभात अपनी टीम के साथ मौके पर पहुँचे। पुलिस ने उपेंद्र सिंह के शव को अपने कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए मोतिहारी भेज दिया है। पुलिस ने घटनास्थल पर लगे सीसीटीवी फुटेज को खंगाला, जिससे उन्हें अपराधियों की पहचान करने में मदद मिली। पुलिस अधीक्षक स्वर्ण प्रभात ने बताया
“गिरोह की पहचान कर ली गयी हैं। यह मुजफ्फरपुर के बदनाम ‘तेल कटवा गिरोह’ का काम है और इस गिरोह के मुखिया भी इस घटना में शामिल था। पुलिस ने अपराधियों को पकड़ने के लिए तेजी से छापेमारी शुरू कर दी है।”
पुलिस अधीक्षक ने भरोसा दिलाया है कि सभी अपराधी जल्द ही जेल की सलाखों के पीछे होंगे। इस घटना ने एक बार फिर सड़क किनारे ढाबों और ट्रकों की सुरक्षा पर गंभीर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं।
क्या है “तेलकटवा” गिरोह?
तेल कटवा गिरोह’ एक संगठित आपराधिक गिरोह है जो मुख्य रूप से तेल चोरी में शामिल होता है।

- ये गिरोह सड़क किनारे रुके हुए ट्रकों और तेल टैंकरों से डीजल/पेट्रोल चुराते हैं।

Motihari, East Champaran: Criminals have once again unleashed a reign of terror in Bihar’s East Champaran district. A shocking incident has come to light near the New Chandigarh Dhaba in Kotwa, where robbers from the infamous ‘Tel Katwa’ gang brutally murdered a hotel owner’s father for trying to prevent them from stealing diesel. This heinous crime has sent shockwaves throughout the entire area.
What Happened on That Fateful Night?
Late on Tuesday night, 60-year-old Upendra Singh, father of Chutu Singh, who runs the New Chandigarh Dhaba, was sleeping at his establishment. Around 1 AM, he sensed some movement. He saw some unknown miscreants stealing diesel from a truck. As Upendra Singh approached the thieves with a stick, the criminals opened fire indiscriminately. One bullet struck Upendra Singh directly in the chest, killing him instantly on the spot.
Police Action and Identification of Criminals
Upon receiving the information, Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat rushed to the scene with his team. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem in Motihari. After reviewing the CCTV footage from the crime scene, the police have identified the culprits. The SP stated that this was the work of the notorious ‘Tel Katwa gang’ from Muzaffarpur, and the gang leaders were also involved in the incident.
Police have launched intense raids to apprehend the criminals. The Superintendent of Police has assured that all the culprits will soon be behind bars. This incident has once again raised serious questions about the safety and security of roadside dhabas and trucks.
