Editorial Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Deshvani is committed to delivering accurate, fair, and independent journalism. This Editorial Policy outlines the standards and principles that guide our reporting and content decisions.

1. Editorial Independence

Deshvani’s editorial decisions are made independently by our editorial team, led by Editor Binay Kumar. Our coverage is not influenced by advertisers, political parties, government bodies, or any external commercial interests.

2. Accuracy & Verification

We verify all news from at least two independent and credible sources before publishing. In cases of breaking news, we clearly label content as developing and update it as more information becomes available.

3. Fairness & Balance

We present multiple perspectives on controversial or sensitive issues. We give all parties mentioned in a story a fair opportunity to respond before publication wherever possible.

4. Corrections Policy

We promptly correct factual errors when they are brought to our attention. Corrections are made transparently on the original article. To report an error, email us at deshvani@gmail.com with the article link and details of the correction required. We aim to address corrections within 24 hours.

5. Sources & Attribution

We clearly attribute information to its source. We use anonymous sources only when it is in the public interest and when the source faces a genuine risk if identified. In such cases, we verify the information through other means.

6. Conflict of Interest

Our journalists and editors are required to disclose any personal or financial conflicts of interest related to stories they cover. We do not accept gifts, payments, or benefits in exchange for favorable coverage.

7. Sponsored Content

Any sponsored or paid content is clearly labeled as “Advertisement” or “Sponsored” so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial content.

8. Privacy in Reporting

We respect the privacy of individuals, particularly private citizens who are not public figures. We exercise special care when reporting on minors, victims of crime, and sensitive personal matters.

9. Community Standards

We do not publish content that incites hatred, discrimination, or violence against any individual or group on the basis of religion, caste, gender, ethnicity, or any other characteristic.
